RAID 0
A RAID 0 configuration is a striped array without fault tolerance. It requires a minimum of 2 hard drives to configure. If any hard disk in this configuration fails, the entire RAID volume will be lost completely.
Because of the severity of type of data loss, a RAID 0 configuration should not be utilized for any database server which contains sensitive information, such as an Exchange server or SQL server. The benefit to this type of RAID configuration is that it requires at least 2 hard drives to be used.
